Most networkers instruct their new distributors to buy leads in order to become more familiar with the telephone and get over any fears they could have about prospecting. I disagree one hundred percent with this idea...
Why?
Because if you've ever called bought MLM leads or opportunity leads, you know first hand that 99% of them are tire-kickers and have no business looking into any sort of entrepreneurial enterprise. The majority of the time these MLM leads signed up to a Web site so they could get an opportunity at winning a free playstation, and then they become YOUR purchased lead! Great value huh?!
Now think about how your new team member views the MLM industry in the short time he / she has been building their business if they are spending their time and their money on these worthless prospects...
They have called back maybe 100-200 leads and 99% of them are tire-kickers... They aren't sincere at all about building a business! The other one % they could not close anyway because they are new and they lack the phone talent and self development they need to sponsor new distributors in this industry.
So they're out about a hundred bucks or perhaps maybe two thousand dollars, they have learned nothing, they have spent some time with clowns on the telephone, and now they get asked by their sponsor to rinse and repeat. Really?
No wonder most networkers can't build an empire! Buying MLM leads is the fastest way to go broke, and the swiftest way to make certain your new team member chucks in the towel because who desires to call burned-out prospects who are totally broke all day? That isn't fun, right?
